Is My Supervisor Accredited?
Who is Clinical Supervision For?
Clinical Supervision may be appropriate for student therapists, interns, RP (Qualifying) clinicians, Registered Psychotherapists, Registered Social Workers and other mental health professionals seeking clinical guidance. The appropriate supervision arrangement depends on your professional designation, training program and goals.
Does Supervision count toward my professional requirements?
Yes. Sara Campbell is an accredited clinical supervisor and provides supervision that can meet professional and registration requirements, depending on your specific designation and regulatory body. We’ll review your requirements with you before you begin to ensure the supervision is the right fit.
Who is Clinical Consultation For?
Who is the Clinical Supervisor at Lakeland Therapy Centre?
Clinical supervision at Lakeland Therapy Centre is provided by Sara Campbell, an experienced and accredited clinical supervisor. Sara provides supervision to clinicians at all stages of their careers, from students and RP (Qualifying) clinicians to experienced therapists, offering thoughtful guidance, practical support, and a collaborative space to grow.
What's the difference between Supervision and Consultation?
Supervision is generally an ongoing professional relationship focused on your clinical development, competence, and professional growth.
Consultation is usually more focused and flexible. You bring a particular case, question, modality, or clinical challenge, and we work through it together.
Not sure which one you need? That’s completely okay. Your initial consultation is a chance to talk about what you’re looking for and determine what would be the best fit.
Can I attend only 1 Session of Clinical Supervision?
Most sessions are joint, though individual sessions may sometimes be recommended to explore personal dynamics that affect the relationship.
Can I attend only 1 Session of Consultation?
Absolutely. A single consultation can be incredibly useful when you need another perspective on a specific case or clinical question. You can also return for consultation whenever you need additional support.
Can I get consultation for a new Therapy Modality I'm learning?
Yes. Consultation can be helpful when you’re developing competence in a new therapeutic approach or expanding into a new population. We can discuss your current training and experience and determine whether the therapist’s expertise is a good match for what you’re looking for.
Can supervision be effective online?
Yes. Virtual supervision and consultation are available for clinicians across Ontario, making it possible to receive support regardless of where you practice.
What can I bring to Supervision or Consultation?
Anything that is relevant to your clinical development—from a challenging client or treatment decision to questions about boundaries, documentation, ethics, interventions, or the therapeutic relationship.
