Anxiety can show up in many overwhelming ways; as persistent worry, racing thoughts, panic attacks, physical tension, avoidance, withdrawal or overwhelm with everyday life. When anxiety starts interfering with your relationships, sleep, focus, or ability to enjoy life, it’s not something you should shoulder alone.

- Ongoing panic attacks or sudden waves of fear
- Feeling tense, restless, or “on edge” much of the time
- Life starting to feel small: avoidance of situations that make you anxious
- Withdrawal from friends, hobbies, or things you once enjoyed
- Feeling overwhelmed by social situations, performance, or expectations
- Difficulty concentrating or making decisions
- Worrysome physical symptoms like heart racing, sweating, or stomach pain
- Negative impacts to your relationships, school, work, or daily functioning

What is Therapy for Anxiety?
Anxiety therapy is a supportive collaborative space where you don’t have to pretend you’re ok. It’s a place to gently unpack what’s really driving your worry, tension and overthinking, and to learn why your mind and body react the way they do. This isn’t about being told to “just relax”; it’s about understanding your nervous system, your thought patterns and the experiences that shape them so you can feel safer, steadier and more in control of your life.
- Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) — chronic worry about everyday issues
- Panic Disorder — sudden panic or fear with or without warning
- Obsessive Thoughts and Compulsive Avoidance
- Health Anxiety — excessive worry about physical health
- Anxiety related to Life Transitions— life changes (positive or negative)
- Performance Anxiety — fears tied to work, school, or performances
- Social Anxiety — fear of judgment or social interaction
- High Achieving/Over productivity — worry of doing things well, failing or comparisons
- Specific Phobias — intense fear of particular objects or situations

Common Questions About Anxiety Therapy
How do I know if I it's normal level of anxiety or if I need therapy?
It’s true everyone feels anxious at times, but when worry, fear, or physical tension begin to interfere with your sleep, relationships, work, or sense of safety, it’s a sign that something deeper may be happening. Therapy can help you understand whether your anxiety is a short-term stress response or part of a longer-standing pattern, and what kind of support would help most.
How long before I start feeling better?
Many people notice relief within a few weeks. With ongoing support, you can build lasting skills, feel more in control, and experience meaningful improvements in your mood and daily life.”
Will therapy make my anxiety worse?
It’s common to worry about this. While therapy sometimes involves gently looking at what you’ve been avoiding, this is done carefully, collaboratively, and at your pace. The goal is never to overwhelm you; it’s to help your nervous system learn that you are safer and more capable than anxiety has led you to believe. With our trained therapists using effective strategies in a collaborative supportive way, most people find their anxiety becomes more manageable and less controlling
What about Exposure: will I be expected to do things I am not ready for?
Not at all. Exposure work, when used, is always planned together and moves in small, respectful steps. You stay in control of the process. Our skilled therapist will help you build confidence and coping skills before approaching feared situations, and nothing is done without your understanding and consent.
Does this mean I'm losing control or going crazy?
Although anxiety can create intense physical sensations, racing thoughts, and feelings of unreality that feel alarming, they are not signs of losing your mind. Therapy helps you understand what’s happening in your nervous system and how to respond in ways that bring relief and stability.
Even if I had anxiety a long time can therapy still help?
Absolutely. Even long-standing anxiety can improve with the right support. Your brain and nervous system are capable of learning new patterns at any stage of life. With compassionate, structured therapy, many people who have felt “stuck” for years begin to feel calmer, more confident, and more connected to their lives again
